Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-08-30

This privacy policy describes how Momentpipe ("the application") accesses, uses, and stores data.

What this application is

Momentpipe is a personal-use automation tool operated by a single individual for their own content-publishing workflow. It is not a public service and is not made available to other users.

Data accessed

The application uses Google OAuth to access only the operator's own YouTube channel, exclusively to upload video content the operator has prepared for publishing. It requests the following scope: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.upload — used only to upload video files to that channel. This OAuth access does not extend to, and is never used to access, any other Google account, channel, or user's authenticated data. Additional scopes may be added in the future (e.g. to read basic performance metrics for videos already uploaded); this policy will be updated to reflect that before any such scope is requested.

Separately from the above, the application processes publicly-available video content originally published by other creators, used only with each creator's prior explicit permission (e.g. participation in a content-clipping or creator partner program) to produce short-form derivative clips. This source content is retrieved directly from its public source, not through Google's API or any Google account, and is used solely to produce and publish clips on the terms the creator has agreed to. No private or non-public information about those creators, and no data from their own Google accounts, is accessed.

How data is used

Access is used exclusively to upload video files to the operator's own YouTube channel on their behalf. The application does not use this access for advertising, analytics, profiling, or any purpose other than the upload described above.

Data storage and retention

Authentication tokens are stored locally on infrastructure controlled by the operator, are not shared with any third party, and are used only by the application itself to perform the described upload action.

Downloaded source video and its transcript are stored temporarily on infrastructure controlled by the operator for the sole purpose of producing clips, and are deleted after a retention window following clip production. They are not shared with any third party.

Data sharing

No data is sold, rented, or shared with third parties. Content is only published to platforms the operator explicitly directs it to, using each platform's own official publishing mechanism.
